 WHY IS IT UNESCO LISTED AND WHAT MAKES IT NOTABLE?

Established as a national park in 1991 and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. Notably,the Rwenzori is celebrated for its snow capped tropical peaks, glacial systems, clear lakes, waterfalls, and extraordinary botanical diversity.
