12 DAYS UGANDA GORILLA & TANZANIA SAFARI TOUR
This 12 Days Uganda Gorillas and Tanzania Wildlife Safari Tour presents to you the highlights of these two countries. It involves Gorilla Trekking, adventures, bird watching, big game viewing, cultural encounters and exploration. Expect to see numerous games and meet the locals. Also expect see some of the inventions about man kind such as by Dr. Leakey and His wife Mary Leakey. This is the ideal African Safari for who ever is considering Gorilla trekking, adventure, game viewing as well as cultural experiences.
Day 1 Arrival
On arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be welcomed by your safari guide from Mandela Safari Holidays and transfer you to your Hotel in Kampala or Entebbe.He will also brief you about your Uganda gorillas and Tanzania wildlife.

Day 2 Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Have breakfast and then travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This is home to more than half of the world’s only surviving mountain gorillas and other mammals. The journey takes you through the green scenery Uganda is famous for. You pass through the Ankole Kingdom famous for its long-horned cattle. On arrival you will check in your accommodation in Bwindi for dinner and also overnight.

Day 3 Gorilla trekking
On this day, you wake up very early, move to the park headquarters for paperwork and then get briefed about gorilla trekking before entering the Impenetrable Forest. Be ready to walk for one to six hours depending on where you will find the gorillas. Having encountered them, you will enjoy a full hour in their presence. The one hour you spend with the gorillas is indeed unforgettable. The mountain Gorilla is the most powerful and muscular primate on earth.

Day 4 Travel to Kigali, Fly to Kilimanjaro
Enjoy a morning breakfast and embark on your journey to transfer from Bwindi to Kigali, crossing at Katuna and arriving at Kigali International Airport by mid‑afternoon, before boarding a direct flight to Kilimanjaro.

Day 5 Transfer toTarangire National Park
After a morning breakfast, you’ll check out of your hotel and embark on your journey to Tarangire National park. This park is home to the largest population of elephants in Northern Tanzania. It is named after river Tarangire, the primary water source in the park. Animals to see include; elephants, zebras, elands, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes and so on.

Day6 Full day Game Drive
Having had lunch, you will embark on a game drive in Tarangire National Park.Your game drive will take you through a variety of habitats, from river valleys to open savannas, where you’ll encounter giraffes, buffaloes, and perhaps even a lion or two. Tarangire is also home to a wealth of birdlife, with over 500 species recorded.
You’ll return to your hotel in the evening for dinner and also relaxation.

Day 7 Mto Wambu Cultural Experience
Visit Mto Wambu Cultural village, Mto wa Mbu. More than 50 tribes of people live in this village. On this excursion, you will take a bike tour of the village to see how the locals run their day to day lives and particularly visit a Masai Homestead. Learn about their culture and then join a community dance that involves jumping. Can you jump higher than a Masai warrior?

Day 8 Ngorongor crater drive
Descend into the Ngorongoro crater, the world’s largest intact volcano is home to many plant and animal species. It is home to elephant, lions, buffalos, rhinos, cheetahs, leopards, elands, hyenas, several birds etc. To some, it is notably the last garden of Eden. This you have to see for your self, thousands of animals, impressive views and the feeling of being here is different.

Day 9 Travel to Serengeti
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park. En-route, you have an option to visit the Olduvai Gorge where the skulls of early man were discovered by Dr. Leaky and his wife. Have a game drive enroute to your camp and also lookout for lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffalos, and so on.

Day 10 & 11 Serengeti game drive
Start the morning with breakfast which is later followed by the game drive in Seronera. The Seronera is the heart of the Serengeti and therefore, wildlife is present no matter which season of the year. Animals to see include; lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes to mention a few. The bird life is also excellent. Species present include, lilac breasted roller, Jackson’s horn bill, egrets, and so on.

Day 12, Fly to Arusha, Departure
Having had breakfast, you will fly to Arusha. You will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport to catch your next flight or to a destination of your choice in Arusha or Moshi. This marks the end of your 12 Days Tanzania Luxury Tour.
