    This 9 days Kenya Tanzania Migration Safari is focused at seeing the migration of millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles in Kenya’s Masai Mara and Tanzania’s Serengeti National Parks. You will also have chance to descent into the Ngorongoro crater full of wildlife action. Expect to see big cats like lion, leopard, cheetah, hyenas, elephants, zebras, rhinos and so much more.

    Day 1: Transfer to Masai Mara

    Depart Nairobi after breakfast for transfer to Masai Mara. We drive through the highlands where you will have views of the Eastern arm of the Great East African rift valley and later drive to its floor. We end our day with a game drive and later dinner and overnight at the lodge.

    Day 2 and 3: Full day game drive

    Having had breakfast, have a full day game viewing on the vast plains of the Masai Mara giving you chance to see lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, warthogs. Masai Mara is famous for having a huge population of game. The months of July to September tend to be the most interesting due to the migration of millions of wildebeest from Tanzania’s Serengeti to Kenya’s Mara National Reserve. To some, this great animal migration is the 7th wonder of the world. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

    Day 4: Masai cultural visit.

    Wake up for breakfast before visiting a Masai community. Their way of life is very unique. These are cattle keepers and have not changed their traditions to date. They will share their tribal stories with you and also present you a cultural dance which if you take part in is likely to wow your muscles. Can you jump higher than a Masai warrior?

    Day 5 Transfer to Ndabaka

    After breakfast, embark on a journey to Tanzania. We cross via the Isebania boarder and access the Serengeti via the western gate. (Ndabaka Gate). Your safari lodge will be on the shores of the mighty Lake Victoria.

    Day 6 and 7 Game drive in the central Serengeti

    You enjoy your breakfast and have a game drive towards Seronera. This is the heart of the Serengeti and has numerous wildlife year round. Expect to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, gazelles, black rhinos and so on. There is a possibility to catch the migration around the western Serengeti at this time.

    Day 8 Ngorongoro Crater drive

    After breakfast enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, we then descend into the world’s famous, Ngorongoro crater. Here it is possible to see all the big five (leopard, lion, elephant, buffalo and rhino) on a single game drive. This is among the most densely populated parks in Africa and is also home to the few remaining black rhinos.  We are to have a game drive to enjoy the wildlife here. Due to the year-round crater, the park supports a variety of animals including, wildebeest, zebra, hippos, African elephants, buffalos, warthogs, many antelope species. Expect to also see a number of predators including the lions, leopards, cheetahs and so on. Do not expect to see giraffes here as their tall legs cannot climb the crater walls.

    Day 9 Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport

    After eating breakfast, we say farewell to the Tanzania northern safari circuit as we travel towards Kilimanjaro International Airport. We are to have lunch on the way and we shall also visit the Cultural Museum in Arusha. The fact that Tanzanite is mined just 50km from this place makes it a must visit on your Tanzania safari.
