21DAYS UGANDA PRIMATES AND TANZANIA WILDLIFE SAFARI
This 21days Uganda and Tanzania Safari leads you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest home to more than half of the world’s mountain gorillas. A gorilla safari is a very rewarding adventure and most of the people who have done it say would do it again if they had the chance to. You will also do Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park. This safari also takes you to some of Tanzania’s important tourist sites. Want your safari more private? Some spots are off the beaten track. Look out for the big5s and experience the local cultures and meals as well as visiting man’s closest relative the chimpanzees You will be sleeping in midrange but comfortable accommodations.
Day 1 Arrival
On arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be welcomed by your safari guide from Mandela Safari Holidays and transfer you to your Hotel in Kampala or Entebbe.He will also brief you about uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife

Day 2 Travel to Kibale Forest
Travel to Kibale Forest, the primate capital of the world. The forest is home to 13 primate species including the chimpanzee, blue monkeys, nocturnal portal, bush babies, and so on. It is also home to several species of butterflies. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon and relax.

Day 3 Chimpanzee Trekking
Wake up early for breakfast and then travel to Kyanyanchu Park headquarters where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee tracking. You then enter the tropical rainforest as you search for man’s closest relatives, the chimpanzee. Having encountered them, enjoy a full hour observing their behavior.

Day 4 Travel to Bwindi
Have breakfast and then travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This is home to more than half of the world’s only surviving mountain gorillas and other mammals. Arrival to your safari lodge will be in the early evening.

Day 5 Gorilla trekking
On this day, you wake up very early, move to the park headquarters for paperwork and then get briefed about gorilla trekking before entering the Impenetrable Forest. Be ready to walk for one to six hours depending on where you will find the gorillas. Having encountered them, you will enjoy a full hour in their presence. The one hour you spend with the gorillas is unforgettable. The mountain Gorilla is the most powerful and muscular primate on earth.

Day 6 Travel to Kigali, Fly to Kilimanjaro Airport
Enjoy a morning breakfast and embark on your journey to transfer from Bwindi to Kigali, crossing at Katuna and arriving at Kigali International Airport by mid‑afternoon, before boarding a direct flight to Kilimanjaro.

Day 7 Materuni waterfalls, market visit
After breakfast, depart from the Kilimanjaro region and drive to Materuni Village. Hike through plantations and forest for about 30-45 minutes to the stunning Materuni Waterfall, where you’ll have time to swim and enjoy the scenery. Afterwards, head into Moshi town for a visit to a local market like Mbuyuni or Memorial Market to experience vibrant local life, fresh produce and crafts. Return to your lodging by late afternoon

Day 8 & 9 Tarangire National park
Known for large herds of elephants and also baobab trees, Tarangire is indeed a gem. It is notably home to the African big 5. Notably,the Tarangire river runs through the park and also is the only permanent water source here. Notably you will spend a full day on game drive in search for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalos, elands and so much more.

Day 10 Mto Wambu Cultural experience
It is time to immerse your self into the notably local culture. We are to notably spend the day in the legendary Mto Wa mbu village. Around 120 tribes live in this village. There is indeed no better way of getting a taste of the culture than engaging in any of the optional activities in this village.
Firstly,you can indeed enjoy a village tour which involves trying a banana beer, visiting a traditional home, enjoying a locally prepared lunch, and also learning about the Makonde carving.
Secondly, you may also do a farm visit to know about what the locals grow and also how they do it.
Thirdly,visit a Masai boma, learn about their culture and as well as interact with the tribal members. This indeed gives you a glimpse of their day to day life
Additionally,it is also sometimes possible to visit a Masai market.This notably happens mainly on Thursdays or 22nd of every month.Here you can notably shop for crafts and also fruits
Lastly, you can also do a guided bike tour of the village and also hike the Balaa Hill to have a good view of the Rift valley wall. It is also possible to visit the Miwaleni Lake and also water falls, take a swim and also see the the ancient baobab trees.

Day 11 Ngorongoro crater drive
Descend into the Ngorongoro crater, the world’s largest intact volcano is home to many plant and animal species. It is home to elephant, lions, buffalos, rhinos, cheetahs, leopards, elands, hyenas, several birds etc. To some, it is the last garden of Eden. This you have to see for your self, thousands of animals, impressive views and the feeling of being here is different.

Day 12 Travel to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park. En-route, you have an option to visit the Olduvai Gorge where the skulls of early man were discovered by Dr. Leaky and his wife. Have a game drive enroute to your camp and lookout for lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffalos, and so on.

Day 13 & 14 Central Serengeti
Start the morning with breakfast followed by the game drive in Seronera. The Seronera is the heart of the Serengeti and the wildlife is present no matter which season of the year. Animals to see include; lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes and so on. The bird life is also excellent. Species present include, lilac breasted roller, Jackson’s horn bill, egrets, and so on. You will return to your hotel for a hot lunch or picnic and later embark on an evening game drive giving you chance to see more of wildlife. From there you will return to your hotel for dinner and relaxation.

Day 15 & 16 Northern Serengeti
Get out and explore the Northern Serengeti in a safari vehicle with an expert guide on your guided game drive. It’s a chance to enjoy (and learn about) the area’s amazing wildlife and beautiful landscapes.

Day 17 Fly to Zanzibar
Today you drive to Arusha Airport to catch your 1 hour flight to Zanzibar. With its remarkable history, notably unique nature, beautiful sunsets and also incredible beaches

Day 18,19,20 Zanzibar
Relax on the Spice island of Zanzibar. Want to be lazy? Additionally,relax at your hotel of course with the view of the ocean. Or you want to get active? No worries, snorkeling, spice tours. Additionally, you can also do history tours, scuba diving, dolphin tours etc. They can all notably be arranged at your hotel.

Day 21 Departure
Today is notably the day to leave Tanzania. You indeed depart with lots of amazing memories of which some will notably stay with you for life. You will notably be transferred to the airport to catch the flight to your final destination hence end of safari.
