The 2 days Murchison falls safari features game drives, hiking and a boat trip. The park is bisected by the river Nile as it continues its journey to the Mediterranean sea. The southern section of the park is made up of woodland Savannah and also inhabits a rain forest which provides some of the best chimpanzee trekking experiences. It also gives access and the best views to The thunderous Murchison falls. The Northern bank of the River Nile is made up of short land savanna and provides opportunities for wild game drives. Day 1 Travel to Murchison Falls park
The 2 days Murchison Falls safari begins with a short briefing by your tour guide as early as 7:00 am and then travel northwards on the Gulu highway. On the way, your guide will point out important places such as the Luwero triangle and their political, social and economic importance in the history of Uganda explained. You will have a lunch stop on the way and arrival to the park will be in the afternoon. You arrive in time for an afternoon boat trip which takes you to the bottom of the Murchison falls. On the way, expect to see hippos, Nile crocodiles, water bucks, buffaloes, elephants, many bird species and much more.
You then hike to the top of the falls to see how the Nile plunges over 45 meters over the remnant rift valley wall thus creating the thunderous Murchison falls. This is the world’s most powerful falls and is said to be the greatest thing to ever happen to the Nile. You then drive tour safari lodge to retreat from the day’s activities.

Day 2 Game drive in Murchison Falls park and travel to Kampala
After having breakfast, you are to have a morning game drive in search for early risers on the northern bank of the Nile. This side of the park is made up of open savanna occasionally intercepted by brasus palms thus making it more picturesque. Your wildlife safari drive covers different tracks in the park including, Queen, Buligi,Albert,Delta and so on to increase your chances of seeing lions, elephants, giraffes, water bucks, heartebeestes, oribis, buffaloes and so on.
You then check out of the park and travel back to Kampala. On the way, you have an option to do rhino tracking at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This is the only place to see rhinos in the wild in Uganda. You track rhinos on foot under the guidance of an expert guide. You then continue to Kampala, be dropped at your point of choice ad this ends your 2 days safari to Murchison falls National park.
