    Itinerary

    Day 1Fly to Kasese and Travel to Kibale Forest National Park

    After breakfast, Fly to Kasese Airstrip on the boarder of Queen Elizabeth National park and then travel to Kibale Forest National Park, the primate capital of the world. The forest is actually home to 13 primate species including the chimpanzee, blue monkeys, nocturnal portal, bush babies, and so on. It is also home to several species of butterflies. In the evening, you have a walk in the Bigodi wetlands giving you an opportunity to see several bird and primate species.

    Day 2chimpanzee Treking

    Wake up early for breakfast and then travel to Kyanyanchu Park head quarters where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee tracking. You finally enter the tropical rainforest as you search for man’s closest relatives; the chimpanzee. Having encountered them, enjoy a full hour observing their behavior. In the afternoon, you have a number of options to take part in and these are; Village walk in Bigodi, visit the Top of The World, or Visit the Nyakasura caves.(The breasts of Nyinamwiru) or just relax at your lodge.

    Day 3Travel To Queen Elizabeth National Park

    Having had breakfast, travel to Queen Elizabeth National park via the Kasenda crater lakes region. Arrive at Queen Elizabeth around time for lunch and then have a boat trip on the Kazinga channel. Important to know that this is the water stream that joins lakes Edward and George and is said to have the largest concentration of hippos in the world. It is also known as the “center of ecology” due to many animals and bird species recorded on its banks. Other animals to see include; crocodiles, monitor lizards. You then drive to your lodge in order to relax.

    Day 4Full Day Game drive

    You wake up, have breakfast and go for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector. This is a matting ground for antelopes such as kobs and therefore a perfect hunting ground for lions and leopards. Expect to see kobs, lion, leopards, elephants, buffalos and so on.
    In the afternoon, you can relax at your accommodation or visit the Katwe salt lake. People in the Katwe area depend on salt mining as an economic activity. Importantly, salt mining has been in existence since the 16th century. You will learn how salt is mined and made ready for both human and animal consumption.
    You end your day with a short game drive around the Kabatoro sector. This area is famous for large herds of elephants. It is also a feeding area for hippos from lake Edward. This evening, expect to possibly take a picture of a feeding hippo.

    Day 5Travel To Bwindi Forest via Ishasha for Tree Climbing lions

    Wakeup for breakfast and travel to Bwindi Impenetrable forest. We travel via Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth park and famous for rare tree climbing lions. These cats tend to climb fig trees for various reasons you will get to know. Other game to lookout for includes; elephants, topi, waterbucks, leopards, hippos and so on. Afterwards, continue to Bwindi and check in your lodge.

    Day 6Gorilla Trekking

    After a mighty breakfast prepared by your accommodation, we report at the gorilla tracking starting point for a short briefing. You then enter the Impenetrable forest with your packed lunch to search for the endangered mountain gorillas. Be ready to walk for 1 to 6 hours depending on where you will find the gorillas that day. Having encountered them, you will for sure enjoy a full hour with the gorillas and then return to your accommodation. In the evening, you have an option to visit a Batwa community or have a village walk or enjoy a cultural performance at your lodge from the locals.

    Day 7Fly to Entebbe

    Have breakfast and then travel to Kisoro Airstrip to catch your flight to Entebbe. You then catch your connection flight back home hence end of safari.
