The 3 days gorilla trekking Uganda Safari leads you to Bwindi Impenetrable forest home to more than half of the world’s mountain gorillas. A safari to gorillas is a very rewarding adventure and most of the people who have done it say would do it again if they had the chance to. Your accommodation in Bwindi will depend on the sector for which your gorilla permit will have been secured.
Day 1 Travel to Bwindi forest
You wake up early for breakfast and then drive to Bwindi Forest. You will pass through the Ankole Kingdome home of the Ankole cattle/long horned cattleAnkole cattle/long horned cattle before you start seeing the terraced steep hills of the Kigezi region. On arrival you will check in your accommodation in Bwindi for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest
After a mighty breakfast prepared by your safari lodge, we report at the gorilla trekking starting point for a short briefing. You then enter the Impenetrable forest with packed lunch to search for the endangered mountain gorillas. Be ready to walk for 1 to 7 hours depending on where you will find the gorillas that day. Having encountered them, you will be given a full hour to enjoy their company. At this point, you can take as many photos as you want. An hour you spend with the Uganda mountain gorillas is one of the best wildlife encounters one can ever have. Don’t be surprised when you get goose bumps as you look into the brown eyes of the dominant silver back, its the strongest and most mascular primate on earth. Day 3 Transfer to Kampala
After breakfast, you will check out of your accommodation and then start the journey back to Kampala with a detour to Lake Bunyonyi. Bunyonyi is Uganda’s deepest and most beautiful lake, so sparing two hours to visit is worth it. Arrival will be in the evening hence end of you 3 days Uganda gorilla trekking adventure.
