5 Days Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife Safari
This 5 day Uganda gorilla and wildlife Safari leads you to Bwindi Impenetrable forest home to more than half of the world’s mountain gorillas. A gorilla safari is a very rewarding adventure and most of the people who have done it say would do it again if they had the chance to. You will also do game drives in Queen Elizabeth National with possibilities to see the tree climbing lions in Ishasha sector.
Day 1 Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
You wake up early for breakfast and then drive to Bwindi Forest. The journey takes you through the green scenery Uganda is famous for. You pass through the Ankole Kingdom famous for its long horned cattle. On arrival you will check in your accommodation in Bwindi for dinner and overnight.

Day 2Gorilla Trekking
After a mighty breakfast prepared by your safari lodge, we report at the gorilla trekking starting point for a short briefing. You then enter the Impenetrable forest with our packed lunch to search for the endangered mountain gorillas. Be ready to walk for 1 to 7 hours depending on where you will find the gorillas that day. Having encountered them, you will be given a full hour to enjoy their company. At this point, you can take as many photos as you want. An hour you spend with the Uganda mountain gorillas is one of the best wildlife encounters one can ever have. Don’t be surprised when you get goose bumps as you look into the brown eyes of the dominant silver back, it’s the strongest and most muscular primate on earth. You then drive back to your safari lodge to relax.

Day 3 Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up for breakfast and then travel to Queen Elizabeth National park. The journey takes you the southern sector of this park (Ishasha) which is famous for the world rare but here common tree climbing lions. On a sunny afternoon, these cats tend to climbs fig trees for reasons you will get to know. You continue to the northern part of the park for overnight.

Day 4 Full Day Game drive and boat trip
We wake up for early breakfast and embark on a morning game drive around Kasenyi sector to search for the early risers. This sector is known as a matting ground for antelopes and therefore a hunting ground for predator such as lions, leopards and so on. The game drive ends at the shores of Lake George.
We are to have lunch on the Mweya peninsular and then a boat safari on the Kazinga channel in search for crocodiles, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, water birds and so on. This channel is a water stream that joins two lakes George and Edward and is known as a hippo paradise because it has the highest concentration of hippos in the world. You end your day with a short game drive that leads to your lodge and then relax

Day 5 Chimpanzee Trekking and Travel to Kampala
After breakfast, we prepare ourselves for the once in a life time experience (chimpanzee tracking). You may track the chimps in the Kyambura Gorge or Kalinzu Forest; the choice is yours. This activity is a bit challenging but very rewarding, so expect to walk for one to six hours depending on where the chimps will be on this day. Having encountered them, you will spend an hour with man’s relatives and then travel to Kampala or Entebbe. This marks the end of your safari.
