Going for Gorilla trekking in Rwanda should be an awesome experience and the
most interesting part are the challenges you face during the adventure.

Rwanda verses Uganda verses Congo

Each of the gorilla trekking countries has an advantages over the other. We provide an unfiltered view and its upto you to choose which country best suits you for gorilla holiday.

Rwanda tends to have open terrain unlike Uganda and Congo where gorillas tend tolive in more dense areas. This makes the treks in Rwanda easier in relation to her counterparts.

Uganda has more than half of the mountain gorilla population and has two forests/National parks for this amazing activity. Bwindi Impenetrable forest alone has four sectors(Buhoma, Ruhija, Nkuringo and Rushaga? The sectors in Uganda have more gorilla families and therefore the gorillas are more abundant here than Rwanda and Congo.

Congo tends to have the cheepest gorilla permits. The gorilla permits in Congo cost USD 400 each This is way cheaper than Uganda gorilla permits costing USD 800 each and Rwanda’s which cost USD 1500 each.

Why Rwanda?

The trekking routes in Rwanda are more open and easier to follow. Volcanoes
National Park is at a higher altitude and the trekking is challenging there which
makes it interesting. Gorilla trekking involves hiking through difficult terrain, thick vegetation, water bodies, hills and valleys giving one an awesome time. A time to remember.
Rwanda is also good for gorilla trekking because the people in Rwanda are hospitable and welcoming to foreigners.

Rwanda has good terrain and is also considered one of the most beautiful countries in Africa. It is home to over 1000 gorillas.
Rwanda also provides good accommodation to tourists with its well-established safaris and good hotels.
Apart from the genocide that took place in Rwanda and most of the people died, Rwanda is now a peaceful and stable country which also makes it interesting for  gorilla trekking.
In conclusion, if one wishes to go for a gorilla trek, Rwanda should be one of the first choices.
