This 10 Days Safari leads you to East Africa premium safari destinations. Day1 Arrival
On arrival at Jommo Kenyata international airport you will be welcomed by your safari guide from Mandela Safari holidays. He will brief you about the whole safari and after transfer you to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day2 Travel to Masai mara
After a morning breakfast, you will embark on your journey to Kenya’s most famous park located in the western side of the country. This journey will take you through Nairobi city which lies on the Thika river with an altitude of 1661m above sea level. Have a stop at the Narok Rift valley view to view the Eastern arm of the Great East African rift valley. Descend into the valley, have lunch along the way and arrival will be in the late afternoon. On arrival you will check into your lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 3 and 4 Full day game drive in Masai mara
After a morning breakfast, you will go a full day game drive with your packed lunch in search for wildlife in all corners of the park. While on the game drive expect to see elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, leopards, cheetahs, hyena, hippos, wildebeests, herds of zebras among others. You will also have game drives along the mara river. If traveling in July, August, or September, you are likely to witness the migration of the wildebeest. This is described as the best wildlife show on earth. It involves millions and thousands of wildebeests, gazelles, and zebras as they cross from Tanzania’s Serengeti plains to Masai mara. They are normally followed by predators (lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas not forgetting the hungry crocodiles in the Mara River ready to catch the unlucky ones as they cross. From there you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 5 Travel to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania via the Isebania border
After a morning breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and embark on your journey to Serengeti National Park. You will exit the Masai mara via the Oloolo gate. You will clear with the local authorities at the Isebania border and cross to Tanzania where Serengeti National Park is Located. While on the way you will have a lunch stop and arrival will be in the late afternoon where you will have en-route game drive and proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 6 and 7 Full day game drive in Serona / Serengeti
These two days will be too action packed since you will have two days full of game drives in central Serengeti and in northern Serengeti.
You will have morning breakfasts with a packed lunch and after go for a full day game drive in Seronera. Seronera is the heart of the Serengeti and has abundant wildlife all year round. The Serengeti plains are endless plains only intercepted by occasional kopjes. The park is home to abundant wildlife including the big five and it is also a playground for the annual wildebeest migration.
While on the game drive, you will have high chances of spotting a variety of wildlife like herds of buffalo, elephants, giraffes, as well as antelopes like elands, gazelles, wildebeests, impala among others.
From there you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 Transfer to Ngorongoro crater drive and travel to Karatu
After a morning breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and embark on your journey to Ngorongoro conservation Area. After about 2 hours’ drive, you will descend into the Ngorongoro crater.
The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s largest intact volcano. Its volcanic walls form one of the richest and most fertile grazing grounds in the world. You are to have a game drive. Animals to see include, elephants, elands, hyenas, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, hippos and so on.

Day 9 Optional Activities
After an early breakfast you will have chance to take part in any of the optional activities.
Either
Drive to Lake Eyasi to have an experience with the Hadzabe Bushmen. The journey takes about an hour.
The Hadzabe Bushmen are the last truest hunter-gatherers in East Africa. About 700 to 800 of them live around the lake in small groups. They live a life of the stone age error. They hunt animals with bow and arrow and collect fruits, roots and honey from the baobab trees. After a welcome and an insight into the village life, it goes with some men on a common hunting. The hunt takes place at a fairly fast pace, especially when an animal is spotted. These people hunt antelopes and gazelles, birds and so on.
Or
visit Mto Wambu a notable cultural village. Learn about the locals in particular the Masai culture and later visit the famous Mosquito River. You also do a bike tour around this village which also give an insight into the sorrounding. You lastly enjoy a locally prepared meal.
Or
visit a Masai community. Their way of life is very unique. These are cattle keepers and have not changed their traditions to date. They will share their tribal stories with you and also present you a cultural dance which if you take part in is likely to wow your muscles. Can you jump higher than a Masai warrior?

Day 10 Travel to Kilimanjaro International airport
You will have breakfast at leisure and after embark on your drive to Kilimanjaro international airport to catch your flight hence end of safari. Depending on the time of your departure flight, you have an option to have a stop in the famous mto wa Mbu village for a culture experience.
The village is home to people from several tribes in Tanzania. There are several cultural experiences to have. These include a village walk, brewing a local beer, taking a tuktuk ride around the village, visiting a Masai homestead, enjoying a Swahili lunch and so on. Feel free to choose one of these options. You are to continue to Kilimanjaro International Airport and hence end of safari.
